Not haunting me

I use to see
my mother sewing things:
baby clothes
for other people,
my father long trousers,
my brother rag tee

She had glazed eyes
lost in memories
I don't know.

Maybe wishing another life
without us
or threads,
needles and wounds
in her fingers.
