Henry Darger's Homage

Darger created art from the visions available to him.

I create this homage to Darger with material available to me

Darger's landscapes evoke the same moody, enigmatic, turbulence narrative tale of innocence vs. evil achieves. - Carl F. Hammer

Amazing Scenes From Another War : Nails Battle Hammer

Everything Happened Very Fast:
Very Cosmopolitan ...
They Met At The Hardware Store
at 56Th Street and 8Th Avenue.
Mister Hammer Black Head
said: I'd Like Peace

But I Don't Mind
Hitting Someone in the Face Once In While.
Typical From a Kid Growing Up
In A Very Disfunctional
Family Tools.
In The Other Side Of The Shelf
A box of nails couldn't believe
They're being threatened:
"We just wanna have our family put in places
of security and stability...
Now He Comes And Says He Wants to Hit Us
In Our Heads?"

He Should Know Better:
Bitter Hammer
You Cannot Mess With
Irish Nails in Saint Patrick's Week

It's Like Poking
The Pope
Under His Robe

And Then After Filling Themselves Up With Pure
Irish whisky Made in Someone's
Backyard In Carrol Gardens,

They FacedThe Enemy
Nobody survived.

But a lesson was learned
Never Forget:
Do Not Mess
With Irish Rusty Nails

Don't mess with New Jersey Mosquito

There's a mosquito hidden
in that shadow box.
Can you tell
where?

Sometimes
They make us believe that
living in fear of outsiders
and defending ourselves against them
will make us feel
stronger

Sometimes
I'm afraid of very little things
carried by little bugs
like mosquitoes

When I was in South America once
during some traveling
I was bitten by a mosquito and got a very high fever
I cannot remember the name
Some funny name

doom doom

I got so sick
I couldn't reach the key hole
of the door of my room
I was convulsing
and I was so hot
Not like Johny Depp
or Marylin Monroe
More like

A volcano
Spiting smoke
out of my nose & ears

I always had a feeling
that I died back then
the one who woke up
next morning
was somebody else.

The enemy sometimes
is within
and that's scary
Mister
jack-O-Lantern!!!

Bradley Chunk Critter are not for Children

They're happy
They're here
They're kind queer

Bleep
Bleep
Bleep

They're so cute
known as
a Bradley Chunk

They like to bump
They have a lump
They prey for hump

When they finely mate
Then smoke weed.
And fall Sleep,

Bleep!
Bleep!
Bleep!

After nine month
They have a baby Chunk
They feed they child with
Fresh grass
And
nut crunch

When the baby gets big
If they scape from hunters
They can make a more
Bradley Chunk.

Fuck!
Fuck !
Fuck!

I'm Veteran of Any Lovely War!

I don't remember my name!
Doesn't really matter

How hard I fought
Doesn't really matter

It was a senseless war
Doesn't really matter

I'm more poor
Doesn't really matter
With a purple heart
Doesn't really matter
And a hole in my chest.

Nails crawling
Doesn't really matter

Itching inside memory,
Doesn't really matter.

Loosing my mind
Doesn't really matter

Was the best thing
Doesn't really matter
Since my draft happen

What were taking about?
Doesn't really matter

Buddha Owl Box

I made that box first as a shelf for my little locker
and the box took on a life of its own , becoming
an owl. I added the Buddha with the bike chain as a Mandala behind.
The last touch was the piece of wrapping paper that I found on my table
the very last day when I was putting it all together
