What's Lie Beneath the Attic

Variation on Shadow Box

We like to pile up stuff in the attic or basement
Our conscience is a receptacle of our memories
And it doesn't matter how long ago some stuff happened
They will always be there haunting us

How about the memory of Institutions
That command our collective consciousness
Do they keep a record on child abuse?
or rape of nuns by priests ?
How many times has god shown up since the last time?
And when was that:
Let me think:
Never!!!
Thank you very much
Don't give me miracle mumbo jumbo

Give me something like this:

You will come to the whole world
and say the truth
the only truth:
Everything was a big lie

Very well put together
using ignorance and fear.

And don't touch the kids!

Give yourself a break
Get married and let them get married
Try to raise your own children
and feel the pain of a father
who has his baby
touched by an "angel" Priest

Don't keep your wives
In the basement

They get moldy.

I like the piece. Ladders and stairs are wonderful things. There's an old nusery rhyme about a man who kept his wife in a pumpkin shell.
